Holy Trinity Episcopal School Titans

Greetings Titan family,

This week, I had the privilege of teaching an impromptu lesson to Kindergarten. It just happened that the class was sitting outside my office for a few minutes while transitioning to their next class, and I took the moment to share some wisdom.

For years, I have told students that 5 of the  most important words they can learn are “Thank you” and “I am sorry.” As I taught this lesson to Kindergarten this week, I had an epiphany. There is a 6th word!

So, here is this week’s message. Remember that 6 of the most important words WE can teach our children are:

  • “Thank you”
  • “I am sorry”
  • “Please”

Show them how they work. Demonstrate their use. Model how to receive them when used towards you.

If we partner on that lesson, we are truly helping the world become “smarter and kinder.”

Now, here are a few reminders and announcements for this week.

Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Parent Social last night and/or Donuts with Grownups this morning. The HTES community is a true strength of our culture. Taking time to just enjoy each other’s company and build connections plays an important role in our ability to provide your children with the very best educational experience in the Lake Houston area.

Friday Feasts (October)

Registration for October’s Friday Feasts is now available. Click this link to sign your child up to participate.

New Staff Addition

Please join me in welcoming Ms. Maritza Valle to HTES. Maritza will be joining us as our Early Childhood Teaching Assistant beginning September 26.

Prior to joining our team, Maritza worked as a Registered Behavioral Technician with Including Kids, Inc. She has an Associates Degree in Social and Behavioral Science, is finishing her Bachelor’s Degree In Psychology at the University of Houston now, and is planning to begin work on her Master’s Degree as part of her career goal of becoming a school counselor.
