Holy Trinity Episcopal School Titans

Greetings Titan family,

I thought I would share the passage I used to speak at our assembly today. It is from Jeff Moore. Jeff is a former teacher and the founder of Everyday Power.

“You’ve been tested before and

you’ll be tested again.

When you’re feeling overwhelmed,

remind yourself of a time where you

had no clue what to do, but

still figured it out.

You’re programmed to feel powerless

but built to figure it out.

You got this. You always have.

Keep going.”

Jeff Moore

Now, here are a few reminders and announcements for this week.

School Pictures

Individual school pictures are scheduled for Tuesday, October 4. Please make sure your child is wearing the Chapel uniform. Some of our families have not yet received the Chapel uniform. If you have an extra one (top half for the picture, not the pants), please consider sending it to school that day for someone to borrow for the picture. We will make sure you get your extra uniform back after pictures are done.

Pet Blessing Day

Also on October 4, we will host our annual Pet Blessing Day. This will take the place of Chapel and will be held in the space between the playground and school building.

Please note the following guidelines:

  • One pet per student, please.
  • Pets must be properly leashed, caged, or in a carrier. No loose pets.
  • Pets cannot stay at school. Once the event ends, the pets need to go home.
  • Please be prepared to clean up after your pet, even on the grass by the playground.
  • If your student does not have a pet (or cannot bring the pet), he/she can bring a favorite item/stuffed animal/picture of a pet.
  • If your pet does not socialize well with other animals or people, please do not bring it to school.

End of the Quarter

The first quarter ends October 13. HTES will be on fall break from October 14 – 17. Once report cards are ready to be shared, you will receive a message with instructions for how to access your child’s report. This is scheduled for Friday, October 21.

We do not host a school-wide conference day. Individual teachers may reach out to families with whom a conversation is needed. If you wish to schedule a conference after report cards are released, please contact your child’s teacher directly.

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

On Friday, October 7, the 3rd grade invites everyone to a Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. The event will take the place of our regular school assembly in the gym from 8:20 – 8:50 am.

COVID Policies Update

We have updated our COVID policy to align with current recommendations. The new guidance can be found on our website.

As a reminder, students are required to wear socks. This is a safety, as well as a hygiene, issue. Please make sure your child is wearing socks with their shoes.

Friday Feasts (October)

Registration for October’s Friday Feasts is now available. Click this link to sign your child up to participate.

Fall Festival

Our Fall Festival is November 5 from 11am – 3pm. We are looking for sponsors, vendors, and volunteers. For more information, please visit our Fall Festival page on our website or email the TPA at [email protected].

Thank you so much for your partnership and support of our school.

It’s a great time to be a Titan,
