Holy Trinity Episcopal School Titans

Greetings Titan family,

Thank you for all the holiday wishes you shared with the staff last month. We are blessed to have the chance to work with your children and are excited to see what the rest of the year will bring.

The winter is often a season when student illness becomes more of an issue, even when COVID was not a part of the equation. We ask that you please continue to take all necessary precautions to keep your child and our school safe. In addition, I want to share a few reminders to help keep us all as healthy as possible.

If you need to take your child to the doctor, please make sure you provide us with documentation from the doctor stating that your child can return to school. Related to that, if there are medical conditions that we need to be made aware of in order to help your child, please let us know.

Students are also not allowed to self-medicate or have their grade level teacher administer/hold medicine. This is a matter of safety. All medication must be turned in at the front desk. Parents should provide written permission to administer the medicine (if you have not done so already) along with instructions. Students will go to the front desk to take medication.

There are also a few other announcements for this week.

  • Monday, January 17 is a school holiday in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. There was a document circulating earlier that listed the date as January 18. That is incorrect. The holiday is January 17.
  • January 24 will be a “step up” day for current students. We will have each class spend some time experiencing what it is like to be one grade older. Also on January 24, we are hosting our final prospective family Open House. Please tell your friends, neighbors, colleagues, and peers.
  • February 2 will be our annual Play Day. Details about the day will be shared soon.

We also have a couple of additional special events coming soon. These include the State of the School presentation and two “Be a Titan” events.

January 25 is the State of the School presentation. This is an important event at which I will report on the state of the school. This includes future goals and plans, insight into admissions, an explanation of school finance and budget, and information regarding tuition. This event will start at 6pm in the gym and should last about 1.5 – 2 hours. Finally, this is a parents-only event. We will not have any activities or child-care available. Please make appropriate plans to attend.

The two “Be a Titan” events are on February 9 and February 12. Both are designed to welcome potential students to school and have them experience what it is like to “be a Titan.” The February 9 event is for students who will be in 1st – 5th grade next year. The February 12 event is for rising 3K – Kindergarten students. Both events will be from 9-11am.

Families can RSVP for the Open House  and/or the “Be a Titan” events on our website.

Thank you for your support and partnership. We look forward to seeing you at the State of the School presentation on January 25, 2022.

It’s a great time to be a Titan,
